John Michaels is not happy with the current direction of Atlanta United.
After advancing through the first round of the CONCACAF Champions League, Atlanta United dropped their opening MLS match, 2-0, to D.C. United then gave up two late goals to CF Monterrey during the first leg of their quarterfinal round matchup to los 3-0 in Guadalupe, Mexico.
John wants to know the reasoning behind Atlanta United's rough start to 2019.
We embrace the MLS, we celebrated the MLS Cup and support the team with all we have as sports fans, but 2019 is not off to a good start.
John is frustrated because offseason we were told the CONCACAF Champions League was almost more important than the MLS opener. John's issue is that in three of the first four Atlanta United matches, the team looked lost. John thinks they are playing on a "hope and a prayer" attitude; kick the ball downfield and hope it goes in. He is concerned about the lack of fire from the team that we saw last season and hopes it can get fixed fast.
