The college football season remains uncertain with the coronavirus outbreak continuing throughout the country.

One of those people having to come up with new potential options for the season is Executive Director of the Chick-fil-A Kickoff games, Gary Stokan, who joined The Midday Show on Friday.

There are three kickoff games set up for this upcoming season:

  • WVU-Florida State on Sept. 5
  • Georgia-Virginia on Sept. 7
  • North Carolina-Auburn on Sept. 12

What is more likely to happen: Three games in general or the three games that were originally scheduled?

"The plans are right now are to play those three (originally) scheduled games," Stokan told The Midday Show.

"Obviously we're waiting for the Big 12, the ACC and SEC to declare what their schedule is going to be," Stokan continued. "They think they'll do that in late July and whether that's a conference-only schedule, like the Pac-12 or Big 10. If that's the case then, we wouldn't have any of the three Chick-fil-A Kickoff games."

Stokan explains the scenarios if conferences decided to play conference-only plus one outside school and the contingency plans they are working on if that were to be the case.
