Georgia and Alabama have both looked good at times this season, and both have looked vulnerable at times this season. Alabama has already lost a game this year, and even though the Dawgs are undefeated Georgia Head Coach Kirby Smart said it himself that they should’ve lost their game against Tennessee.
However, when it comes to the matchup between the Dawgs and the Crimson Tide on Saturday college football Insider for On3 Sports Brett McMurphy believes Georgia's home field will be the "ultimate edge" versus Alabama.
“If I have to pick a winner, and I haven’t figured out which way I’m going yet, but right now I’m probably leaning towards Georgia. I just think that home field is gonna be the ultimate edge there.” McMurphy said
Brett also added that overall he thinks that Georgia is just “a little bit better” than Alabama, but does also say he thinks the game is going to “come down to the wire”.
Kirby Smart and the Dawgs have won 33 consecutive home games in Sanford Stadium, which is the longest active home winning streak in college football. During Georgia's home winning streak, the Bulldogs have only played in three one-score games, but there’s a good chance that Saturday will mark a fourth.
However, if Gunner Stockton and the entire Georgia team plays up to their potential they should make it 34 consecutive home wins in Sanford Stadium on Saturday.
