The Atlanta Falcons have been busy the past 72 hours as they've recently extended arguably the two most important pieces of their defense. On Monday they beat the deadline for Grady Jarrett and yesterday they met with Deion Jones' agent Drew Rosenhaus and got a deal done.
Deion Jones is tough, smart, fast, instinctive, a sure-tackler, a leader, team captain and arguably the best coverage linebacker in the NFL. He's the ideal fit for what the Falcons want to do defensively.Hard to overstate how important his extension is to this franchise.

Hugh Douglas and John Fricke are impressed with the speed at which the Falcons are moving on these contracts and think that Julio is up next. With Training Camp starting on Monday they discuss the Falcons entering the season with nothing on their minds but football.
One of the future questions to answer will be how long is the window? With both Deion and Grady signing 4 year deals, will they be in a position to compete beyond 2023. Julio and Matt Ryan will likely be on the downside of their carrers, so the time to make a run is now!
