With the first action for the Atlanta Falcons Thursday night against Denver, the players have their first real chance to make a statement and a push toward winning a position battle.
Douglas also explains that even thought Kaleb McGary is out tonight, the number of reps the young offensive line gets together is very important.
"I want to see the new additions on the offensive line," said Douglas. "It was a point of emphasis in the offseason to get third and shorts and protect the quarterback, so the more reps and the more they can play together it will be better down the line."
