John Fricke and Hugh Douglas recapped the Atlanta Braves 12-6 win over the Philadelphia Phillies on the 4th of July yesterday.
“Would not want to be a Phillie right now heading back to Philadelphia,” Douglas said.
“The Nationals are in second place with Harper (Bryce Harper) and the Phillies are in third place without him,” Fricke responded.
“When you look around the league there are going to be a lot of buyers at the deadline,” Fricke said.
“You have to win the division. You have to be the team that wins your division,” Douglas said about the Philadelphia Phillies.
“The big talk this morning is will Gabe Kapler be fired?” Fricke said.
“The Braves have THE lineup. They are scoring at will. They are going to shatter all home run records this team has ever had,” Fricke continued.
Fricke and Douglas also talked about Mike Soroka’s struggles and how the lineup gives the pitching staff confidence.
