Falcons defense looks to keep Bryce Young 'out of rhythm'
Preparations continue for the Atlanta Falcons as they get set to host their NFC South rival, the Carolina Panthers, who won the division last season. “They are a great team,” Falcons defensive lineman, Maason Smith said as he joined 92-9 The Game’s Carl Dukes and Mike Bell to preview Atlanta’s home opener and share what he expects from the Panthers.
“They have great offensive linemen, three guys in the middle and all can play really great football and a quarterback back there that’s been playing at a high level,” Smith said of the Carolina offense. “We’re not taking them lightly at all,” Smith continued, noting that despite the Panthers’ season opening loss to the Bears, the Bryce Young led offense displayed how dangerous they can be.
“We’re just working on the game plan,” Smith said of the Falcons “putting our best foot forward and continue to grow as a defense, dominate the line of scrimmage in anyway we can and try to pressure the quarterback.
