All is apparently well between Deion Sanders and Todd Gurley.
The Atlanta Falcons’ new running back chose to wear No. 21 — the same number Sanders wore with the Falcons during his Hall of Fame career — despite Primetime’s plea not to do so.
Gurley, who wore the No. 30 in his first five seasons with the Rams, told the story of Sanders “hatin’ on me” to 92.9 The Game’s Midday Show, and it led some fans to believe that Primetime was not getting the respect that he deserved.
But Sanders cleared the air on Twitter Sunday morning, responding to a tweet that it’s all good between him and Gurley and he feels no disrespect.

Sanders’ number is not retired, and in fact, Gurley will be the eighth player to don No. 21 since Primetime left the Falcons in 1993.
Desmond Trufant, who was a cap casualty for Atlanta last month, most recently wore the number from 2013-18 and played the same position as Primetime.
Meanwhile, the Falcons are also transitioning to new jerseys for the 2020 season, and embraced the change by showing off the design of the new jersey with Gurley’s No. 21 on display via Twitter on Sunday.
