Radio.com NBA insider Kendrick Perkins joined Dukes & Bell and talked about his twitter beef with Kevin Durant and what he thinks about Hawks young star Trae Young.
When asked about his twitter interactions with Kevin Durant.
“Everybody owns their own twitter and they’re owned their own opinions.” Perkins said “I personally don’t do social media a lot, I have an Instagram but I don’t post, the only thing I do is twitter, you have to have tough skin on twitter, that’s the reason I like Twitter you get to see real. A guy has to be ready, because if he fires on me, I’m firing back.”
Perkins told the guys he thinks Trae Young is a generational talent.
“Absolutely, this kid is a generational talent.” Perkins said “The thing I don’t like is he’s been compared to Steph Curry since he’s been in college, when he was on his drought last season people were like he’s nowhere near Steph Curry, but now in year two he’s doing things Steph Curry wasn’t doing in year two. To me Trae Young is box office, when he comes to town, I know I want to go see him play. He’s giving hope to kids that are under six foot, you can go out there and be a kid that’s not tall and come out here and actually dominant the game of basketball and that’s what he’s doing. Now does he have the right pieces around him that’s to be determined, but as far as Trae Young that kid, he’s a star in the making.”
