Trae Young earned his spot in 2020 NBA All-Star starting five

Last Thursday night Trae Young was voted in as a starter for the 2020 NBA All-Star Game.

Currently Young averages 29 points, and 9 assists per game making him the top-3 of the league in each category. Respectively putting him alongside MVPs such as James Harden, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Lebron James.

Duane says that Trae Young is “Must-see TV despite the team’s record,” and will help drive bigger names to the Atlanta Hawks after his All-Star appearance.

Trae Young belongs in the All-Star Starting 5. PeriodT.“ First player to have a 45-point double-double with under 25 field goal attempts against the Washington Wizards, since Kobe Bryant on December 17, 2006. “ #MambaMentality #TheMarathonContinueshttps://t.co/LSuNdwaNOj

One caller speaks on the comparison of Young v. Luka Doncic as fans can't mention one name without the other. He says, for Young, “it’s easy to put up gaudy numbers.. empty numbers… that don’t impact the game…But when you look at Luka Doncic, those are impact numbers. Why? Look at the wins...”

Duane highlights Trae Young’s career highs and says his numbers support him being in the NBA All-Star Game as a starter, in addition to the fan votes, and should not be a reserve based on the statistics and energy he brings to the game.
