The Atlanta Falcons officially kicked off training camp for the 2023 season on Wednesday and over the course of the next few weeks, any questions and or concerns about the team or players will hopefully be answered.
For 92-9 The Game’s Jon Chuckery, one player in particular that he will be watching is linebacker, Arnold Ebiketie.
During his conversation with 92-9 The Game Falcons reporter, Joe Patrick, Chuckery shared some of thoughts on the type of season he believes Ebiketie needs to have. “Arnold Ebiketie to me is the guy that’s got to make that big leap on this defense,” the evening host said as he would ask Patrick to share his thoughts. “I have no questions that he’ll be able to put his hand on the ground in a four-man front and be able to rush the passer,” Patrick said in response to the Chuckery question.
As he continued with his thoughts on Ebiketie, Patrick noted that linebacker, DeAngelo Malone should also be factored in along with Ebiketie in regards to the Falcons being able to increase their sack numbers this season and that he believes “it will be interesting to see if one of them kind of elevates above the other this year with their performance on the field and obviously the sacks, which this team desperately needs.
