Alex Verdugo has been spark Braves needed in their lineup

Since going 0 for 5 in his debut with the Atlanta Braves, Alex Verdugo is hitting .388, going 14-36, with five extra base hits, and six RBI in eight games. Verdugo already has two four-hit games as a member of the Braves as well, and earlier today The Morning Shift said Verdugo has been the “spark” this Braves’ offense needed.

“Alex Verdugo is the guy that has sparked this lineup because he’s at the top of the lineup, he’s given you production, his defense was a little shaky last night out in the outfield, but he has given you a spark, and he has allowed you to move Michael Harris II down and Ozzie [Albies] down and it’s really opened it up”. Beau Morgan said

After the Braves’ 6-3 win over the Colorado Rockies  last night, where the Braves’ left fielder went two for four with an RBI single and a walk, Atlanta is now 8-2 since calling Verdugo up, and if he keeps hitting like he has been recently he’ll keep getting starts, and the Braves will probably keep getting wins.
