Abraham Almonte isn't the answer, but for now is best option for the Braves

The Braves knew it would be a problem when Marcell Ozuna went down. But after the legal events of the weekend, what was a six-week issue has now turned into a much longer-term problem.

While the Braves have highly-ranked OF prospect Drew Waters in the minors still, they opted to go with Abraham Almonte, as many feel Waters is close but isn't ready quite yet.

Joe Patrick joined John and Hugh to discuss the void in left field, if Abraham Almonte is the solution, and the options that Anthopoulos may have to plug that hole.

"It's a really tough situation for Anthopoulos. You can go out there and try to trade for some left fielder, but honestly you've had so much go wrong for you this season, how much risk do you want to leverage this year," questions Joe Patrick. "How much are you trying to salvage the season and what are you willing to give up to be able to do that?

"You potentially lose the fans, see attendance drop, there are considerations to be made here, but it's a dicey situation in terms of how much the Braves are willing to give up and how much better it actually makes them. It's hard for me to see them being a legitimate World Series contender at this point, but it's a tricky situation to judge what's the right move to make here."
