Did Braves do everything they needed to do this offseason?

Carl Dukes and Chris Thomas share their thoughts on whether the Braves' newest additions will be enough to bring home a WS

“Did the Braves do everything that they needed to do?” On Friday, that was the question from 92-9 The Game’s Chris Thomas as he filled in for Mike Bell on Dukes and Bell. Thomas’ question was the topic of discussion between he and Dukes as they shared their thoughts on the roster and additions to Atlanta’s lineup and starting pitching.

Thomas admits that while the Braves have brought in Chris Sale and Jarred Kelenic, he is still concerned about the team not being whole with the new additions as he is unsure if they are the answers to help the Braves get over the hump and win a championship.

“You can’t look past this rotation and say that Max Fried, Spencer Strider, and Charlie Morton are good enough to get it done," Thomas said. "Two absolute wild cards that are anchoring the last two spots in your rotation,” Thomas said as he addressed his thoughts on the Braves’ starting rotation and why the addition of Sale may not be enough despite the fact that he had a “decent comeback year,” last season.

As the conversation continued, Thomas added that he does not believe Kelenic has proven to be an “every day starter in this league." Dukes notes that the outfielder is only 24 and “you have to find out if he can play.” Here the conversation in its entirety above:
