Is Dylan Lee this year's Tyler Matzek?

The young pitcher is carving out a nice role for himself in the lineup this year.

The sample size is small but Dylan Lee has come along as one of the more reliable arms in the Braves' bullpen, a far cry from last year when he made his first ever start in the World Series, which also was the shortest World Series start since 1984. In 19 games with just 25 inning pitched, Lee has an ERA of 1.44 with 26 strikeouts on the season.

Grant McAuley. MLB Insider, joined hosts Chris Thomas and Beau Morgan, on The Other Side of the Glass this Saturday. During his appearance, Morgan asked if, "Dylan Lee was this year's Tyler Matzek?"

Similar to what Matzek did last year, Lee has been the clutch pitcher for the Braves this year, coming in during those high leverage situations and making the most of them.

McAuley called him, "The stabilizing force for a bullpen that has at times been without Kenly Jansen , been without Tyler Matzek, it doesn't have Luke Jackson."

If Lee keeps up this level of play, he certainly will be a big part of the pitching rotation come October.
