The Atlanta Braves have re-signed pitcher Josh Tomlin to a one-year, $1 million contract, according to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic.
Tomlin, 36, has spent the last two seasons in Atlanta after spending the first nine years of his career with the Cleveland Indians.
The new deal with the Braves gives Tomlin a $1.25 million club option or $250K buyout for 2022.
Tomlin pitched in 17 games this past season while starting five and had a 4.76 ERA in 39.2 innings pitched.
In 12 relief appearances, Tomlin had a 2.95 ERA but he struggled in the five starts he had with a 6.33 ERA.
Tomlin will bring much needed reliver depth for the Braves after they bought out Darren O'Day's contract and could lose Mark Melancon and Shane Greene to free agency.
