Marcell Ozuna has come under fire after his hot start to the season has seen him come crashing back to earth hitting just .091 (3-for-33) in the month of May. But he's not the only Braves star who is struggling.
Including Ozuna, there are FIVE everyday players who are currently hitting under .250, with Austin Riley and Ozzie Albies being two of those players.
With Riley, Ozuna, and Albies all hitting below .250 (Duvall and Swanson are the others), the heart of your order isn't delivering when Acuña and Olson reach base ahead of them.
The Braves offense is barely above average in runs scores at 13th in the league, and their team batting average of just .225 is even worse than that, ranking 22nd overall.
While Ozuna deserves some of the criticism he's receiving, he's far from the only guy who is struggling right now. And despite hot starts from guys like Albies and Riley, the whole group needs to pull out of their slumps for the Braves offense to ignite.
The issues hitting with runners in scoring position is one big reason the Braves have yet to win three games in a row this season and has them below .500 (14-17) and a full seven games behind the Mets in the NL East.
