Should Spencer Strider be the NL Starter in the All Star Game?

Spencer Strider's last two outings have reminded baseball fans just how good he can be after his previous two starts had been bumpy by Strider's standards.

Spencer strider picked up his 9th win of the season while striking out 10 and that led John Fricke and Randy McMichael to wonder if Strider is the leading candidate to start the All Star Game for the National League.

While Strider should be in consideration for the honor of starting the All Star Game, he's certainly not the only candidate who's got some worthy numbers from the first half of the MLB season.

Among pitchers, it's actually the Braves starter Bryce Elder who leads the NL in ERA and there are five pitchers (Strider being one of them) who have been able to tally 9 wins on the season, Clayton Kershaw, Merrill Kelly, Zac Gallen, and Marcus Stroman.

Strider's 3.73 ERA is working against him, but his dominant strikeout numbers along with his win total, might be enough to get him the nod over some of the other dominant arms in the NL this season.
