Should the Braves be worried about Ronald Acuña Jr.'s health?

Around the yard with the Braves as 929 The Game Braves insider Grant McAuley joined Dukes & Bell for his normal appearance on the show and is it time to worry about the health of Ronald Acuña Jr.?

When asked is it time to be more concerned about the nagging injuries.

“I think this is something we should have all seen as a possibility when you spend that much time away from the game, and I think that’s what they’re trying to manage is not turning small ailments and little dings that every player is gonna have over course of a long season in to something that he tries to push himself through a little bit too hard and creates some kind of long term injury,” McAuley said. “Not saying it’s going to be as bad as any thing he’s already been through but you don’t wanna see him truly strain a quad and then be out with a grade three that might keep him on the shelf for two, three weeks, a month or longer.”

McAuley said he understands the caution right now with Acuña Jr.

“There’s no fun in having to continually hit the pause button on having Ronald Acuña Jr. and it’s kinda one of the little things that the Braves are certainly trying to fight through now when they try to put together a lineup. I understand the caution and it’s hard to argue against it and I don’t know there’s any other corrective measure you can really take. You don’t want to shut him down altogether, you don’t want to overreact to it, but I also think you can’t afford to, I guess the word underreact.”
