During a Saturday evening show, Nick Kayal weighed in on Ronald Acuna's recent left ankle injury against the Toronto Thursday at Truist Park. X-rays were negative and he would be considered day-to-day.

Nick gave his thoughts about Acuna needing more protection from the Braves saying, "This is now the second injury for Ronald in the last week. So last week Braves-Phillies weekend series -- right around this time last Saturday, and the Phillies came in high and tight inside, to say the least on Ronald Acuna, twice. He was day-to-day after being hit by the pitch and the Phillies went way inside twice and when they hit him on the hand it was with a 97 mph fastball."

Nick feels as though that the Braves should protect their star, even if it means clearing the bench to protect Acuna from teams who may want him out on purpose. Nick shared his father-in-laws' thoughts on protecting their star player back in his day. He posed the question to listeners if sports today are better than sports back in the day?

The Braves will take on the Milwaukee Brewers this evening at American Family Field.
