On Thursday Andy & Randy were joined by their producers Beau Johnson and Brian Gebhardt to talk about who the best Atlanta Braves starting pitcher is right now after Kyle Wright secured his MLB-leading 17th win on Wednesday night against the Colorado Rockies.
After the win on Wednesday Wright is now 17-5 on the season with a 2.85 ERA, 150 K’s and a 1.13 WHIP. Max Fried, who most believe to be the unquestioned ace in the Braves rotation is currently 12-5 with a 2.56 ERA, 143 K’s and a 1.04 WHIP.
Andy & Randy as well as one of their producers, Brian Gebhardt, believe that Fried is still the best pitcher on the Braves stuff but the other Midday Show producer, Beau Johnson, believes that Wright has overtaken Fried as the Braves ace. Take a listen:
