The Falcons next head coach could be on the field Thursday when the Falcons face the Panthers, but he likely isn't on the Atlanta sideline.

Joe Brady, the Carolina Panthers offensive coordinator, is in his first season as an NFL coordinator after a few previous coaching stops that lasted two or fewer years.

Here is Joe Brady's history with the game of football:
• 4 years playing WR at William and Mary
• 2 years as William and Mary’s LB coach
• 2 years as a graduate assistant at Penn State
• 2 years as a Saints offensive assistant
• 1 year as LSU’s passing game coordinator and WR coach
• 1 year (current year) as Panthers OC

Joe Brady is a 31-year old offensive mastermind who has assisted Matt Rhule in making the 2020 Carolina Panthers much more formidable than anyone had expected.

After helping Joe Burrow have the greatest season of any college QB in history, Brady has helped renew the career of Teddy Bridgewater, and that has kickstarted the discussion that he may be ready for a head coaching gig.

John and Hugh have some reservations about Brady as a head coach and share what their hesitations are for the Falcons considering him

"Joe Brady is only 31 years old, barely older than some of the players on the team," says John Fricke. "I look at Andy Reid and what he was able to do, Jon Gruden going back in. I'm not a retread guy but when we say Joe Brady, my concern is that he's such an unknown. It's either a home run and it all works or it's a disaster of epic proportions and that's a high-risk, high-reward for a guy that's never been a head coach."

After the last few head coaches for the Falcons have been defensive guys, it is expected that the team may go with an offensive mastermind and even though Brady is relatively unproven, he just might be that guy.
