Could Falcons be closer than most think to a playoff run?

An article was recently written about how all 32 teams in the NFL are away from making a Super Bowl run next years. Dukes & Bell talked about how far our Falcons are perceived to be from another run and if they agree with that logic.

Mike talked about what the article said about where the Falcons stand right now.

“Falcons have some issues, they’re approximately forty one million over the projected cap in 2021, need to find a pass rusher, figure out what they are doing at running back, and add another playmaker at wide receiver because Julio Jones can’t play forever, again their words not mine.” Bell said.

Carl talked about the timeline being sped up by players exceeding expectations.

“Here’s the issue with the timeline, while you’re saying it may be three years before people outside of your organization feel like you’re viable, whether it’s you have the positions filled you need or the star power. What you can’t account for in those years is who’s going to play well for you, who’s going to exceed those expectations.” Dukes said “For example, Calvin Ridley has already done that, Calvin Ridley has already proven you don’t need to go get another, this is why I asked the question about best player or taking player of need.”
