NFL Network’s Steve Wyche joined Dukes & Bell for his weekly appearance on the show, Steve talked about what he sees as a realistic win total for the Falcons this year and why he thinks Arthur Smith has done a fantastic job in his first season as Falcons head coach.
When asked about where the Falcons are right now under Arthur Smith.
“If you can get eight wins out of what this roster has, I think Arthur Smith’s done a fantastic job, and it goes to show you that he is established something,” Wyche said. “That him and his staff really got some guys on one year deals to compete and to buy in knowing that they’re probably not going to be here next year, while also getting these young guys to play up to a certain standard.”

Wyche also talked about how Matt Ryan has played so far under Arthur Smith.
“Look Matt Ryan, people can say whatever they want with him, he’s been really good this year in a lot of ways. Besides playing at a pretty high level, the fact that he’s bought in and he’s not trying to pull a ‘well can you get me out of here to a contending team type business’ but really helped this new coaching staff kinda shepherd everything along, I think kudos to him for doing that.”
