While all the missed calls, including pass interference not being called on Kansas City Chiefs’ safety Bryan Cook when he clearly made early contact with Kyle Pitts, were a huge part of the Atlanta Falcons losing to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday Night Football last night 22-17 it wasn’t the main reason they lost. Earlier today The Morning Shift broke down why the Falcons really lost to the Chiefs last night.

Mike Johnson credits the Falcons loss to the offense having “absolutely no imagination when it comes our short yardage run game”, being “anemic” on third down, and the defense’s “bad” interior run defense as well.

The officials did the Falcons no favors last night, but despite the bad officiating the Falcons still had multiple opportunities to win the game, and they have to take advantage of those opportunities, and not leave the game in the officials’ hands.
