Last week the Falcons arguably played not only their best game of the season, but their best game under Arthur Smith. It seemed like the Falcons offense had the perfect mix of running the ball, short throws, intermediate throws, play action passes, and pushing the ball down the field. However, this week the Falcons face a tougher test in a game on the road in Chicago, so will they be able to replicate their performance from last week, Mike Johnson and Randy McMichael discussed it on The Midday Show earlier today.
Montez Sweat has not only given the Bears pass rush the spark they needed, but the former Washington Commander has also given Chicago’s entire defense the shot in the arm that they needed, so blocking him and the rest of that Bears defensive line has to be the top priority for the Falcons if they want to be able to take their shots.
Taylor Heinicke has been limited in practice all week with an ankle injury, so he may not be as mobile, and for a guy that is used to using his legs to extend plays the ankle injury could maybe make Taylor get the ball out quicker, or make him throw the ball away faster, and that might actually be a good thing for the Falcons when it comes to limiting turnovers.
