Georgia DT Christen Miller perfect for Falcons if he's there at 48

NFL Draft analyst for The Athletic Dane Brugler has the Atlanta Falcons drafting Georgia Bulldogs defensive tackle Christen Miller with the 48th overall pick in his latest two round NFL mock draft, and earlier today The Morning Shift reacted to Brugler’s latest mock draft, and explained why they think Miller would be perfect for what the Falcons need in the interior of their defensive line if he isn’t drafted before the Falcons can pick him at 48.

“He’s explosive and he’s definitely a two down run stopper. I mean that’s his bread and butter.” Mike Johnson said

Overall the Falcons defense was a bright spot this past season under Defensive Coordinator Jeff Ulbrich, but if there was one glaring weakness Atlanta’s defense had it was their ability to consistently stop the run. The Falcons were in the top 20 of all-major defensive categories last season except run defense, where they ranked 24th, but if they’re able to draft the 6 '4, 321 pound run stopping defensive tackle from UGA he could immediately make an impact and improve Atlanta’s run defense right away.

Besides, I'm sure the Falcons fanbase wouldn’t mind seeing the Falcons draft another Georgia player with their top pick.
