The Atlanta Falcons (3-4) will battle with NFC South division foe the New Orleans Saints (5-2) this Sunday (1 p.m. EST) in an attempt to climb back to the .500 mark on their 2021 campaign.
If the Falcons are able to get a huge road victory over New Orleans, the Dirty Birds could once again use that momentum to spark a second-half-of-the-season resurgence and battle for an NFC Wild Card playoff berth.
When Falcons beat writer D. Orlando Ledbetter joined The Nick Kayal Show Saturday, he was quick to point out to Nick, “There is nobody they play that is a world-beater,” when looking at the opponents left on the Falcons 2021 schedule.
D-Led, did point out to Nick that the Falcons do have some tough opponents however, “I only have three games that I think they might lose, Dallas (Cowboys), Buffalo (Bills), and Tampa Bay (Bucs).”
Could the Falcons go 7-3 down the stretch of the 2021 season?
“If they can take seven of them, then you are right there in line for the sixth or seventh playoff spot,” said D. Orlando, when telling Nick what could be possible if the Falcons turn around what has been up to this point an underachieving season.
The possibilities are definitely there for the Falcons. In the games against Miami and both New York football teams, the Dirty Birds showed that they can put up big numbers on offense and win games when they execute efficiently.
Let’s see if their good execution traveled with them to New Orleans
