The Atlanta Falcons have begun their search for the team’s next head coach. Owner Arthur Blank met the media Monday and said the search will not have a timetable attached to it. Presumable, a wide net will be cast with several big names available including Mike Vrabel, who was let go in Tennessee on Tuesday. Another name that has intrigued fans is Todd Monken, who is leading the AFC’s best team on offense in the Baltimore Ravens.
Monken came to Baltimore by way of Athens after back-to-back national championships with the University of Georgia. His offense was innovative and allowed Stetson Bennett go from unknown to hero as the quarterback of the team. His talents have translated seamlessly to the NFL as Lamar Jackson is up for an MVP award.
The only question is if Monken could allow for the same success on offense while leading a daily NFL operation. He has limited head coaching experience, but that has certainly not stopped the Falcons from hiring candidates before
