Atlanta Falcons radio analyst Dave Archer joined Dukes & Bell and talked about if he thinks Josh Rosen did enough last night to secure the backup quarterback job.

When asked about Rosen's performance last night.

“Yea I was impressed. You saw the difference with Rosen on the field, he’d been drinking thru a firehose to absorb this offense over the last four or five days, and then for him to get in that second down situation and Nunn not go in motion for him to have to tell him to go in motion and not be discombobulated about what was going on. And then he throws a speed out, a little speed out to the right side on the money to Frank Darby, the ball came out on time you could feel it,” Archer said. “Then his ability to buy time and lose ground on the throw he missed the play before to Juwan Green which is an option route at the top of the route, he broke outside, Rosen missed him and came right back with the next play but this time Rosen got pressure in his face and he lost ground, he didn’t panic he didn’t look to run lost ground put a little air on it let it go early and found Juwan Green in the right side of the end zone for the touchdown.”

“Don’t forget this guy was a number one draft pick and rated as a number one guy around the league and not just in Arizona, he’s got a really good arm, he does seem a great deal humbled from the guy I heard about coming out of UCLA when I talked to him after the game I sensed he’d been beaten down a little bit. So he’s been humbled and he’s really hungry for this opportunity.”
