Multiple sources have been reporting that free agent pass-rusher Bud Dupree is going to join the Atlanta Falcons on a one-year deal.
Dupree, who was born in Macon and attended Wilkinson County High School before becoming a team captain at Kentucky, had long been attached to the Falcons via the rumor mill. Friday morning the two sides seemingly have come to an agreement.
Dupree, who was selected 22nd overall by the Steelers in the 2015 NFL Draft, has amassed 46.5 career sacks, with a career high 11.5 sacks in 2019.
With the latest addition to the pass rush, Robb Tribble and Randy McMichael dove into the ever-changing landscape of the Falcons draft strategy and what the plans could be now.
In his last two seasons with the Tennessee Titans, Dupree played in 11 games each season and had three sacks in 2021 followed by four sacks in 2022.
Dupree joins a remade Falcons front that has added DT David Onyemata, DL Calais Campbell, and a new DC in Ryan Nielsen to go along with some strong addition in the secondary as well.
