On Thursday, Andy Bunker and Randy McMichael were joined by NFL Insider for both SiriusXM and FOX Sports Radio, Adam Caplan, who spoke about the upcoming Week 1 game between the Atlanta Falcons and the Philadelphia Eagles. The conversation turned to the four main tight ends playing in this game, which include Falcons first-round pick Kyle Pitts, Hayden Hurst, Zach Ertz, and Dallas Goedert.
“Is there a unit or a position group that you feel like could take over/dominate the game," Bunker asked Caplan. "Which position group in this game is most talented?”
“I would say it would be the tight ends. The Eagles historically have been awful covering the tight ends for whatever reason – just not athletic enough. The Eagles historically have been one of the worst teams at linebacker. They are very small but athletic,” Caplan responded.

“This is a game where Hayden Hurst and in particular Kyle Pitts in his first ever NFL game, a Philly-area kid from Warminster, I could see them being factors and the Eagles now that they have Zach Ertz back, a lot of people didn’t think he would be back including myself…Dallas Goedert (88) is terrific. He is going to play three downs, he is a really good athlete and he can block. I think the Tight Ends, to answer that question, could dominate,” Caplan continued.
Caplan also talked about the advantage that the Eagles have up front. Take a listen…
