The Atlanta Falcons reportedly restructured the contracts of cornerback A.J. Terrell and offensive guard Chris Lindstrom to create a total of $20 million in savings and now have $12 million in cap space. With extra money now available, what are they planning to do with it?
"Unless you want a depth piece, this is mainly for your draft picks," says Randy McMichael. "You might have some money left over, you don't know how the summer is going to go, maybe you add a guy here or there, this does not feel like they're going in the business for somebody. Nothing big."
Twelve million isn't a massive amount, certainly not enough for a major piece like Trey Hendrickson, which many Falcons fans are hoping the team makes a play for. But, there is potential for signing more than just your draft class with the cap space available.
