It’s been almost a week since the Atlanta Falcons named Raheem Morris as their head coach, but Morris’ praises continue to be sung. Audacy NFL Insider Brian Baldiner joined The Morning Shift and explained what he likes about the “bright, young coach” Atlanta is getting.
“I think everybody knew what Raheem was all about in the building including you know the owner [Arthur Blank] and you know Rich McKay," said Baldinger. "I think they knew what he was all about back when they had him in the building and so I think he’s done a great job in Los Angeles."
Speaking of Morris’ time as defensive coordinator with the Rams, Baldy talked about how Morris was able to develop the young defensive players on that Rams defense and turn them all into quality players during his time there.
“You just look at the team and the rookies that he played this year there I told people back in Week 3, Week 4 that if you’re a true analyst you better do your homework on who’s playing for Los Angeles because you won’t know any of the guys, or most of them, outside of Aaron Donald, and those guys all developed into becoming a really top-notch defense over the course of a season and that’s all under the tutelage of Raheem," said Baldy.
Baldinger finished his thought by saying he thinks the Falcons got a "bright, young coach that has been there before” and has “learned a lot along the way.”
Everybody who talks about Raheem Morris from Sean McVay, Brian Baldinger, Les Snead, to Mike Tomlin all have nothing but great things to say about him, and for Falcons fans it should be starting to sink in that they have one of the best football coaches as their head coach.
