Falcons have been good but they're "not there yet"

The Falcons are off to a 1-2 start and have shown some improvement, but still have to learn how to win.

The Atlanta Falcons (1-2) came up just short in their Sunday Night Football matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs. Through three games, they're exactly who we thought they were, says The Steakhouse.

"What did we expect? We've got to be able to compete and we've got to be able to contend," Steak said. "I think it's clear that we can do that."

The Falcons have looked remarkably better and the moves that Terry Fontenot made over the offseason have already started to show results. Justin Simmons intercepted Patrick Mahomes yesterday, Kirk Cousins has been efficient under center, and Matthew Judon has been effective in the pass rush.

But the reality is that this team is sub-.500. The perception of the stretch would certainly feel a lot different if it had happened at some other point in the season, but this was a difficult stretch that nearly any team would struggle with.

"We do a lot of good things," Steak said. "We're just not there yet. Can Raheem coach us up to nine or 10 wins, it'll be fascinating [to watch]."

Who are the Falcons at this point? They're a 1-2 team, but they look much stronger. Next up for the Falcons are their divisional foes the New Orleans Saints and the Tampa Buccaneers. Everything is still there for Atlanta but they can't let 1-2 become 1-4.
