To say that the Atlanta Falcons last 4 games have been tumultuous may be an understatement. After starting the season 6-3, the Falcons have lost 4 straight, and all eyes are cast upon quarterback Kirk Cousins. It is not like Cousins and the Falcons’ offense have struggled to move the ball. Over this 4 game span, Cousins has averaged 267 yards per game, which is third best in the NFL.
The problem that Kirk Cousins and the Falcons offense is up against right now is turnovers. Cousins himself has thrown 8 interceptions over this 4-game losing streak, and a Ray-Ray McCloud fumble was lost in week 14. What is even more strange about the Falcons current losing streak, and Kirk Cousins’ part in it, is that there does not seem to be one thing that can be singled out as a problem, he is simply playing bad. Falcons’ Head Coach Raheem Morris is adamant that the team will stand by their QB1, as the Falcons have a pretty favorable schedule to finish the season, but fans are starting to clamor 2024 first round draft Michael Penix. Andy Bunker and Abe Gordon discuss the Falcons inability to win of late, and how they can snap out of it to remain in the playoff hunt.
