Over the weekend the Falcons confirmed they interviewed Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn, completed a second interview with former Patriots head coach Bill Belichick, interviewed Rams defensive coordinator Raheem Morris, Bills interim offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Joe Brady, Texans offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik, and Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson for their vacant head coach position.
Reports also came out that the Falcons are also planning to bring Bengals OC Brian Callahan, Panthers DC Ejiro Evero, and Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh in for second interviews. There are also multiple reports that the Falcons plan to interview former Titans head coach Mike Vrabel as well, so despite some people thinking that Belichick is all but hired in Atlanta earlier today The Morning Shift explained why the Falcons search for their next head coach is still wide open.
Nobody besides Arthur Blank, Rich McKay, and maybe Terry Fontenot truly know the timetable for when a decision is going to be made, but with all the second interviews the Falcons will reportedly have with multiple candidates it seems like a decision isn’t coming for at least another week.
