Now that Raheem Morris is the next Head Coach in Atlanta he now needs to start building out his staff, and that starts with bringing in his coordinators, and all signs point to a good start for Coach Morris as multiple reports indicated this weekend that the Falcons are hiring Los Angeles Rams Passing Game Coordinator Zac Robinson to be their Offensive Coordinator. The Morning Shift gave their initial reactions to the reports earlier today.
When the news first broke that Raheem was returning to Atlanta, Robinson was always the favorite to follow his co-worker to Atlanta. It seems like Raheem and Zac had a very similar agreement like DeMeco Ryans and Bobby Slowik’s agreement that whichever one became a head coach first the other would follow and be a coordinator on the staff.
This a huge hire for Coach Morris because Robinson was one of the most sought after offensive coordinator candidates in the NFL, but with their strong LA ties Raheem was able to get his guy.
Now with an offense full of young weapons Robinson gets to show off just how great of an offensive mind and play caller he is, but everybody in Atlanta knows the biggest task is still in front of Morris and Robinson and that’s finding the right quarterback to lead the Falcons offense.
