The Atlanta Falcons must be better on third down if they are to have the type of season many expect. The team is sputtering on these critical situations, going just 6-27 to begin the 2024 campaign. Last week's matchup vs Kansas City only further exploited the issue.

The New Orleans Saints will not make the task any easier on Sunday. Cam Jordan has wreaked havoc on the Falcons' backfield for years and will look to do so again. Jordan is the latest exceptional defensive lineman the team has faced thus far adding to the likes of TJ Watt and Chris Jones.

Scoring touchdowns is also something the team must do a better job of converting on their opportunities. Getting third downs to sustain drives is a huge part of that process. The team has scored just 10, 22 and 17 points in their first three contests.
