The 4-3 Atlanta Falcons have a critical matchup Sunday with their division rival Tampa Bay Buccaneers for first place in the NFC South. The Bucs are coming off a costly Monday Night Football loss to the Ravens after losing multiple starters to injury in the contest including both starting receivers, Mike Evans and Chris Godwin.

Godwin appears to have suffered a season-ending ankle injury while Evans left the contest with a hamstring injury. The Falcons now will be facing a much different situation than when they were able to win in a shootout, 36-30, on Thursday Night Football. The question remains, however, if the team has proven enough to say if the Falcons will be a decided favorite despite mounting injuries for Tampa.

The Falcons have been in this situation before. On November 6th 2022 Justin Herbert came into Mercedes-Benz Stadium without their two top receivers in Keenan Allen and Mike Williams winning that contest 20-17.
