Earlier today on The Morning Shift, Mike Johnson, Ali Mac, and Beau Morgan reacted to the Atlanta Falcons finalizing their initial practice squad yesterday, the Falcons claiming linebackers Yasir Abdullah and Jared Ivey and offensive lineman Cameron Williams off waivers, the Falcons waiving defensive backs Jammie Robinson and Natrone Brooks and defensive lineman Zach Harrison, the Falcons placing inside linebacker JD Bertrand on the reserve/injured list, and signing inside linebacker Josh Woods to the active roster yesterday as well.
The Morning Shift crew also explained why they think the Falcons latest roster moves show that they want to be bigger and heavier across their offensive and defensive lines.
“They want to get bigger and heavier on the offensive and defensive fronts to me. I mean it’s just clear, and look I’m with it I like that school of thought.” Mike Johnson said
With an emphasis on improving the run defense this year, a new offensive scheme in place, and a new regime President of Football Matt Ryan, Head Coach Kevin Stefanski, and General Manager Ian Cunningham are starting to show just how they want the Atlanta Falcons to look and play.
