The Atlanta Falcons have added a much-needed pass-rusher to bolster their defensive line. 32-year-old veteran and former UGA product Leonard Floyd is reportedly coming to the team on a one-year $10 million dollar deal after playing last season in San Francisco.
Floyd had 8.5 sacks last season which would have led the Falcons in 2024. He has amassed 66.5 sacks for his career which spans trips in Chicago, LA, Buffalo and San Francisco. He has recorded double-digit sacks twice in his career.
It remains to be seen if the team will still use the No. 15 overall pick to bring in another edge player or if they will now pivot and hope the likes of Bralen Trice, coming off injury, and Arnold Ebiketie take big steps forward.
