While it took until Week 6 of his second season in the NFL, Kyle Pitts has his first touchdown on US soil!
Much to the delight of Falcons fans everywhere, the talented tight end was on the receiving end of a Marcus Mariota touchdown pass in the 3rd quarter of their matchup with the 49ers to put Atlanta on top 28-14.
There may have been no one more fired up in the Atlanta crowd than this guy who went full Superman on his reveal of a Kyle Pitts jersey.
Despite surpassing 1,000 yards in his rookie season—just the second player to do so at the position in his first season—Pitts lone score came against the Jets in London. Now that he’s gotten his first taste of the end zone at Mercedes Benz Stadium, Falcons fans hope this is the first of many.
Pitts missed the Falcons loss to Tampa with a hamstring injury and was questionable entering the day, but his return has (so far) helped spark the Atlanta offense.
