Despite what some strength of schedule rankings have to say the Atlanta Falcons’ 2025-26 regular season schedule looks like it’ll be no walk in the park, and while there are a couple of different stretches on the Falcons’ schedule that’ll be tough earlier today The Morning Shift laid out what they think will be the toughest part of the Falcons schedule this season.
Beau Morgan believes the Falcons’ toughest stretch of the season begins after their bye week, and will be weeks six through 10 where the Falcons play the Buffalo Bills at home on Monday Night Football, travel to San Francisco on a short week to play the 49ers on Sunday Night Football, go back home to play the Miami Dolphins on what will essentially be another short week, then go back on the road to play the New England Patriots, and at the end of that stretch travel to Germany to take on the Indianapolis Colts.
Beau has this as the Falcons toughest stretch because of the first two opponents Atlanta has to play in that stretch being perennial playoff teams and Super Bowl contenders, the short weeks the Falcons have during that stretch, and because of the brutal travel schedule they’ll have during that stretch as well.
“That’s a brutal travel stretch. That’s a five game stretch where you have two home games and you are the furthest distance you can be on your schedule from where you are going to play. You go the furthest west, you go the furthest north, and you go the furthest northeast that you can go, the furthest out of the country that you could go that is out there other than maybe Brazil.”
A brutal travel stretch like that can put added fatigue on any team including the Falcons, so they’ll have to find a way to overcome that major travel obstacle, and get some big wins during that stretch if Atlanta wants to be a playoff team this season.
