The Atlanta Falcons let starting Center Drew Dalman walk in free agency due to the cost, he eventually signed a deal that made him the 4th highest paid Center in the NFL. The team brought back Ryan Neuzil, who was a Falcons undrafted free agent in 2021, and he's going to serve as the starting Center, but Dalman and Neuzil are different, so how will the offense adjust? Will the team build their offense to better fit Neuzi's strengths and avoid his weaknesses?
"I think they're going to adapt to him a little bit," says 92.9 the Game Falcons Insider Joe Patrick. "With Dalman you had a really athletic but undersized Center, great at that outside zone, and I think that Ryan Neuzil, they like his power profile, speed off the ball, and Neuzil epitomizes that."
"I think he's maybe a better pass protector than Dalman, heavier, has a bigger base, and something Neuzil said when I was talking to him last week was the snap," continued Joe Patrick. "We forget the snap was a problem with Drew Dalman and hopefully Ryan Neuzil can be an upgrade there."
