Falcons’ WR depth as strong as it’s been in years

The Falcons’ wide receiver room looks considerably deeper than it did a year ago. Drake London remains the clear No. 1 option, but Atlanta now has Jahan Dotson, Olamide Zaccheaus and rookie Zachariah Branch alongside him, giving the offense a combination of experience, versatility and big-play ability. That’s a notable change from last season, when injuries and inconsistency involving Darnell Mooney and Ray-Ray McCloud left the Falcons scrambling for reliable production behind London. This year, there are more legitimate options to turn to, whether it’s Dotson’s experience, Zaccheaus’ familiarity with the offense or Branch’s explosive skill set. London will still command plenty of defensive attention, but unlike last season, the Falcons appear to have the depth to make teams pay for focusing too heavily on their top receiver.
