So far the Falcons have interviewed 14 candidates for their head coach vacancy, and that number is soon to be 15 as multiple sources have reported that the Falcons are going to interview former Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel. Are Arthur Blank, Rich McKay, and Terry Fontenot casting too wide of a net? Do they have too many candidates on their list of potential head coaches?
Due diligence is never a bad thing, but the Falcons were planning to bring in Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan for a second interview until the Titans hired him to be their next head coach.
Now, just because one of the Falcons' many candidates has gotten hired doesn’t mean the Falcons need to hire someone tomorrow or this week, but it does make you think if Callahan getting hired gives Atlanta's front office more sense of urgency to hire the next head coach.
