The Atlanta Falcons have been strapped for cash for some time. They currently don't even have enough money to sign their rookie draft class.
The only solution to that problem right now is to trade Julio Jones. Although that is a scenario that is likely, it's still hard to imagine Jones putting on another jersey. If that were to happen though, the critics would be out for blood when it comes to Matt Ryan.
Jon Chuckery thinks that the criticism may be even more amplified if Jones isn't there. "Matt's really going to be under a microscope," Chuckery said.
Some would say that Ryan has always been under the microscope, but if the Falcons trade away arguably the most talented player to wear a Falcons uniform, he will have to make Terry Fontenot and Arthur Smith look like they made the right decision. It would just be another moment in Ryan's career where he's had to himself.
