NFL Network and Atlanta Falcons contributor Steve Wyche joined Dukes & Bell and talked some Falcons with the guys including is Calvin Ridley’s future with the Atlanta Falcons in jeopardy?
When asked if he thinks Ridley’s spot on team is in jeopardy.
“I would think so, I don’t know everything that’s gone on here, but for him not to surface and for the team not to say anything about him all season long, leads me to believe that at some point maybe his side is like he needs a fresh start or the Falcons might feel like hey we need a fresh start,” said Wyche.
Wyche explained why he thinks Ridley won’t be back with Falcons.
“It would be hard to think with just everything this team is trying to do, with new leadership and everything, maybe if it was a Pittsburgh situation and Arthur Smith had been the head coach here for seven or eight years then maybe they say, ok we can bring him back. But I think because they are trying to start new and to get things going there at some point will be some type of parting, that’s my best guest. I don’t know if that’s gonna happen, but yea this is the type of scenario where I think it’s gonna be fresh start for him somewhere else.”
