On Wednesday, the Atlanta Falcons officially introduced Kirk Cousins as their new quarterback. With a major piece to the puzzle in place for the franchise, discussions are beginning to shift toward how much improved they will be if Cousins is able to return at full strength once the 2024 season begins.
On Thursday, Steak Shapiro and Sandra Golden shared their thoughts on what they believe the expectations for the franchise needs to be in order for fans to be 100 percent supportive of the team. After hearing Steak and Rusty Mansell on Wednesday discuss their believe Falcons' expectations should be more than winning the NFC South, Golden shared that she was in full agreement, the bar needs to be raised in what results the franchise should settle for.
"You're right, let's rise up with our expectations," Golden said.
Shapiro added that when breaking down the division, while the Buccaneers having won two Super Bowls, including in 2020, and the Saints having won one as well, ultimately winning the division would be fine. However the Falcons have to have a "win-the-Super-Bowl" mindset.
